A long standing tradition here at RAM are the special Artist Spotlight episodes. At an appropriate time, we like to focus our attentions and energies on a particular artist/band. Believe it or not, PANTERA’s “Far Beyond Driven” celebrates it’s 20th anniversary this year. With our fresh third voice in tow, we discover the interest and influence of Texas’ finest crosses generations. We discuss all the Pantera whys and wherefores, our musical faves, get into the multitude of side projects and offshoots, and wether or not the first four pre-”Cowboys” records actually count. In Episode 234 of the Iron City Rocks Podcast we are joined by Falling In Reverse’s Jacky Vincent. Jacky talks with us about his fantastic solo album Star X Speed Story from Shrapnel Records. Jacky gives us the inside scope on how he drew influences to great a classic 80′s sounding shred album, how he has grown as a player, his aspirations to grow and the plans for Falling In Reverse for this year’s WARPED tour.

We also introduce you to a new band, Londona. Londona blends hard rock and a pop sound that harkens back to the likes of Pat Benatar and other AOR rocks legends.

Hailing from the Great White North, you’d think nailing down the hyperblast originators KATAKLYSM would be relatively easy. For one reason or another, our paths had yet to cross. With a cool new(ish) record and a brutal tour in full swing, we were more determined than ever to get them in our Creature Feature hotseat. Axeman Jean-Francois Dagenais is a real veteran dating back to those cherished demo tape trading days. We discussed their latest recorded output, the longevity of the band, and we share our mutual love of SACRED REICH. In our News, Views, and Tunes, we crank some Kataklysm, tourmates ABORTED, the aforementioned S.R., go all fan boy for the original EXCITER lineup reunion, and introduce British rocker DANIEL TRIGGER in our Indie Spotlight. Horns Up!!!
