Radioactive Metal: Episode 222 – What A Great Year

For over a week it was bright and sunny out in Winnipeg. The birds were chirping and people’s spirits were high. Summer was just starting to show it’s beautiful face. Then the dark clouds came covering the land with dismal rains which quickly crushed the populace’s spirits. It’s not a coincidence that this was the time that MARDUK and company reached our neck of the woods. Norwegian black metallers 1349 served as main support and we had the good fortune of catching up with vocalist Ravn and axeman Archaon. An interesting discussion to say the least, as we went over the origins of their namesake and their connections to the likes of CELTIC FROST and SATYRICON. Two cool dudes that hardly lived up to the ignorant black metal stereotypes. We introduce British bashers COLLAPSE in our Indie Spotlight. 1349… what a great year! (Apart from that whole plague thingy.) Horns Up!!!
